Our story

From the shores of the Bosphorus, with a wood-fired oven and a stubbornness about ingredients.

Bosphorus opened in 2014 above a cloth shop on Broadgate, with twelve covers and a single charcoal grill. We still cook over that grill today. Our lamb comes from Hay-on-Wye. Our sea bass from the boats at Brixham. Our pide dough is rested for forty-eight hours. We do not have a freezer. We have never had a freezer.

Chef Hülya trained in the kitchens of Istanbul and Gaziantep before settling in the Midlands. The menu changes with the season, but the fire never does.
